The Widg.io affiliate programme is designed for businesses, bloggers, YouTubers, educators and anybody else that wants to get paid for people they refer to Widg.io. Affiliates get paid a 30% commission on all subscription payments - for every paying customer they refer to Widg.io

Getting started

You can apply to the Widg.io affiliate programme by visiting: www.widg.io/affiliates 


Once you're approved for the programme, you'll be able to log into your affiliate dashboard. The affiliate dashboard is where information about your affiliate link, the traffic and conversions you're generating through your affiliate link and the payments you receive through our programme. 


The information in this article will help you better understand and successfully navigate the affiliate dashboard.

Affiliate referral link

Once you have logged into your affiliate dashboard, you'll see your affiliate link on the left side of the page. This link is unique to your affiliate account and directs people who click on it to Widg.io. Anybody that clicks on this link to visit Widg.io, and have not visited Widg.io before, will be automatically tagged as referred by you. This tag will last for 365 days - otherwise known as the Cookie Days.

The 365-day cookie duration

Your Widg.io affiliate link has a 365 day tracking cookie. This means that any person who clicks on your affiliate link, who has not visited Widg.io before, will be automatically tagged as being referred by you. From the moment they are tagged, you will be commissioned for all subscription payments made by the person you successfully referred, until they cancel their Widg.io subscription payments.



Example:

  • You share your affiliate link with your audience
  • Somebody clicks your affiliate link and visits Widg.io
  • That same person upgrades to a paid Widg.io plan within 365 days
  • You receive 30% commission for every payment that person makes to Widg.io

Affiliate commission

The commission for affiliates is 30% of any subscription payments made by a person they successfully refer. There is no time limit on this, and will continue until the customer terminates their paid Widg.io account. 

Getting paid

In order to get paid as an affiliate, you will need to provide your PayPal email address as part of the affiliate application process (or you can update it in payment settings). Payments to affiliates are made at least one month in arrears, to account for the Widg.io 30 day money back guarantee to customers. Payments are usually made on or around the 15th of the month. If you have not received a payment that you were expecting, please contact us - giving us as much information as possible to investigate.

How many people have I referred?

It's easy to see how successful your marketing efforts are working:


Step 1

Log into your Affiliate Dashboard and click on Conversions. Here you will see an overview of all sales referred by you.


Step 2

To see how much you have earned in pending commission and estimated next payment, click on Dashboard and look at the figures displayed in:

  • Next estimated payment
  • Commission in approval

Good to know...

All affiliates sales remain in a pending state until they have surpassed 30 days since the date of first transaction. This is because Widg.io offers an initial 30 day money back guarantee to new customers. You can learn more in this article Getting Paid.

Examples

Affiliate 1 refers a sale on 10th Feb

  • On 15th March, Widg.io will check if that sale is more than 30 days old
  • Widg.io confirms the sale is more than 30 days old
  • Widg.io will check it hasn’t been refunded
  • Widg.io will then facilitate the commission payment.


Affiliate 2 refers a sale on 20th Feb

  • On 15th March, Widg.io will check if that sale is more than 30 days old
  • Widg.io identifies it has not been more than 30 days since the sale, so there is still a chance the customer could request a refund. 
  • Widg.io will not review this commission until on/around the 15th of the following month (in this case, the 15th of April).

How to update my Widg.io affiliate account?

Updating your Widg.io affiliate account is simple.


Just log into your account - click here


Visit the Settings tab:

And select an option from the menu on the left, to update:

Finally click the Save Changes button

Creative Assets

Within your Widg.io affiliate dashboard, you will see the Creatives tab.

Here you will find creative assets designed by Widg.io, that you can embed on your website, with your referral code automatically included.


Please refer back to this section on a regular basis, to check the latest assets created for specific campaigns and events throughout the year.
